This is In The Field Camping Podcast Episode 6
We discussed Kampgrounds of America (KOA) and the pluses and minuses of these locations, including the KOA’s we’ve visited: Wyoming – Devils Tower, Rock Springs/Green River, and Jackson Hole/Snake River. Colorado – Royal Gorge/Canon City, Cotopaxi/Arkansas River, Gunnison, and the now defunct Durango North/Ponderosa (now known as the Durango Riverside Resort) and New Castle/Glenwood Springs (now known as Elk Creek) KOA’s. New Mexico – Las Vegas. Arizona – Williams/Exit 167/Circle Pines.
Also discussed were forest fires, fire restrictions, and fire bans. NOTE: This episode was recorded prior to some new fire restrictions for Colorado, and an all out fire ban in Larimer County. To be clear, no campfires are allowed in Larimer County until September 30th.

In The Field Camping Podcast with Chris Rodriguez is a podcast that is literally recorded “in the field” while camping at various campgrounds. If we’re not camping, we’re not podcasting! We review campgrounds and camping equipment, suggest tips and advice, and go on camping-related soapbox rants. If you have any questions or comments, leave a voicemail (720)440-1080 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
